Devon Canada has recently stepped in to fill in a gap Community Kitchen Program had for many years. The Good Food Box is the most volunteer intensive program for Community Kitchen. It takes an entire week to complete this program. Even though CKP receives quite a few groups to build these boxes, there was a continous struggle to find volunteers to assist with the delivery of the boxes. Inspired by the programs of Community Kitchen and a burden in their heart to do something for the needy in this city, Devon Canada decided to stand by Community Kitchen shoulder to shoulder. They have commited to send two volunteers on regular basis to go out with our trucks to assist with the delivery to our 121 drop off locations in all sectors of Calgary.

      This is the front line of volunteering here at Community Kitchen. Volunteers get to see where all these boxes go and intereact with the people we serve in the community. In over 17 years, no organizations have come forward with a firm commitment for this job. We are ever grateful to Devon Canada and for their wonderful volunteers who want to bring change and make this city a great city for everyone.
