BELL Canada Volunteers comes to the rescue!
This week has been a very hectic week for the staff at Community Kitchen Program. With the second largest Good Food Boxes on order in CKP history, it was uncertain if all the boxes were going to be packed and ready for delivery on Wednesday and Thursday. Two large volunteer groups came in on Monday and Tuesday to sort, bag and pack the boxes. But at the end of Tuesday, CKP still had over 100 boxes to pack. There was no time to clean out the warehouse and large number of empty boxes that were piled up all over the place.
Bell Canada volunteers came with high spiritsand helped CKP finish packing the rest of the boxes, flatten all the recycle boxes and sweep out the warehouse. Some of the volunteers also helped us load our delivery truck as all the boxes had to be delivered the next day. Of course, on the side they had Fun! The energy was flowing through out the entire time they were in the facility. Bell Canada is the only organization from the Tel-comm sector to assist CKP with the Good Food Boxes. We thank the volunteers from the depths of our hearts for their amazing work!
